Welcome to the Keynote Chorus!
The Keynote Chorus is an adult community chorus that performs benefit programs to celebrate special occasions and assist in fund raising for various area organizations. The chorus also performs two major concert programs each year, one in December and one in May or June. Singing seasons include fall and spring semesters. We do not sing during the summer. Rehearsals are held each Tuesday night in the Portville Central School High School Chorus room from 7pm to 9pm. Anyone interested in singing with us is welcome to join. No audition is required.
Our director is Norene Ferris, and our accompanist is Laurie Sledge.
Our History
The chorus was formed in January 1987 by a small group of adults who shared a common love of singing choral music and who wanted to share their interest and talents with others in the Twin Tiers area. Groups assisted in the past include the Pfeiffer Nature Center, Olean Elks Club, American Red Cross, Southern Tier Military Support Group, and various church building and mission funds.
